Proprietor & Funeral Director

Norman was born in Nashua and is a 1966 graduate of Nashua High School.  He is a lifelong resident of Nashua. He is married to Kathy (Holsten) Madison Hall whom he married on November 19, 2005.  Prior to their marriage they had both been widowed. He has two children, Andrew R. Hall and Heather Blondin, and Kathy has two daughters Christine Madison and Kimberly Madison. They have five grandchildren Austin, Emily, Rachael, Abigail, and Hope. 
In 1967, he graduated with honors from New England Institute of Anatomy, Sanitary Science, Embalming, and Funeral Directing in Boston. He had been named to the Dean's List in three of the four quarters while a student. Norman has been active with the Davis Funeral Home since 1972, and he purchased it from Robert S. Ainscow in January of 1987. He holds membership in New Hampshire Funeral Directors Association (NHFDA) and is currently serving on the NHFDA Executive Board.   He is a member of National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) and has been recognized by that organization as a Certified Preplanning Counselor in 1999, and by the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice as a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner in 2004. 
Norman is a Vietnam veteran who served in the U.S. Army Mortuary in DaNang, South Vietnam as an Identification Specialist. He was a graduate of U.S. Army Quartermaster School at Fort Lee, Virginia, and served as president of his class in 1970. He was discharged in 1972 with the rank of Specialist 4th Class. He enjoys collecting pewter miniatures. 
Norman is active in several area organizations; the Masonic Fraternity, Odd Fellows, and the Grange, the VFW, and American Legion. At one time, he rode his mini-tin lizzie truck in parades with the Bektash Shrine Tin Lizzie Unit, and he is proud to be a part of the world’s largest philanthropy through their network of Shrine Hospitals for burns victims and crippled children.  He is a former member of Nashua Rotary West.  He also has served at one time on the Board of Directors of Nashua Rotary West and is also a former director of the Boy's Club, a life member of the Nashua Historical Society, a member and former deacon at The First Church (Congregational) U.C.C., and a trustee of Edgewood Cemetery.

Funeral Director and Embalmer

Andrew was born in Nashua and is proud to be a seventh generation native Nashua resident. He resides in Nashua, his son, Austin and his daughter, Abigail (in the same neighborhood he grew up in).  He attended Charlotte Avenue School and the former Spring Street Junior High School.  He is a graduate of Nashua High School, Class of 1988.  Following his graduation, he received a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Plymouth State University, Class of 1992.  While at Plymouth, he earned the Adam Smith Silver Pin Award for Outstanding Student in Economics.  He also earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University (formerly NH College) in 1997. 
He has been a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer since 2001.  Andrew graduated from the Funeral Institute of the Northeast.  Today, as a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, he can handle all aspects of funeral service and is eager to help continue the fine traditions of the Davis Funeral Home.  He is also a member of the New Hampshire Funeral Directors Association (NHDFA) and the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA), and is currently working towards his certification as a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner through the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice.  He is also currently working towards his insurance license to assist families with pre-arranging funeral services.  Andrew has been actively involved with the Davis Funeral Home since he was 16.  At that time, he would help with maintaining the grounds and building, maintaining and driving vehicles, and helping his father before, during and after funerals. 
Andrew is active in the Masonic Fraternity.  He is a Past Master of Ancient York Lodge #89, F & A. M. in Nashua.  He is also a member in the Scottish Rite Bodies in the Valley of Nashua and the New Hampshire Consistory 32nd Degree.  He is a Shriner in New Hampshire, and he is proud to be a part of the world’s largest philanthropy through their network of Shriner Hospitals for burns victims and crippled children.  Andrew is a member of Nashua Rotary Club, where he along with other businesses and community leaders give back to the Nashua and surrounding communities.  Andrew is a member of The First Church (Congregational) U.C.C. in Nashua and currently serves as a Deacon.  At one time, he was active in the Boy Scouts, youth soccer and baseball.  Some of his current hobbies and interests include canoeing, boating, camping, snowmobiling and skiing.  Andrew also enjoys renovating and tackling home improvement projects in his 1890 vintage home.
