Kevyn W. (Jackson) Britton, 74, passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2010, in Nashua, NH, with family by her side.
Kevyn, known as "Kevie" to her family and friends, was born in Huntington, NY, in 1936, the daughter of Louisine E. (Munn) Jackson and Berkley W. Jackson.
Kevie was married to Frederick D. Britton, her partner and friend, for nearly 41 years. She is also survived by her daughter Dawn E. Breault of Merrimack, NH, her son Douglas F. Britton of Portland, ME, and her two grandchildren Haley Breault and Zachary Britton.
Kevie was raised in NY with her late brother Michael. After graduating from high school, she went on to receive her nursing certificate and worked for several years as an operating room nurse in Florida. Kevie later moved to Nashua, NH, where she lived since 1968. For a number of years she owned a cleaning business in Nashua, and she also worked in home health and hospice care. In the final years of her life, Kevie resided at the Greenbriar Terrace nursing home in Nashua.
Kevie will be remembered fondly by her family and friends as a strong, energetic, and spiritual woman, with an outgoing personality and a lively sense of humor. She was a gifted artist, particularly in arts and crafts and she excelled at making intricate dolls and floral arrangements. Her creative spark, laughter, and her passionate approach to life will be deeply missed, but remembered always.
