Leonard F. Landry, 81, lifelong resident of Nashua, died peacefully at the Southern NH Medical Center on March 4, 2010 following a brief illness.
Lenny was born on September 27, 1928 in Nashua, a son of the late Honore and Laura (Smith) Landry.
Lenny was the widower of Gertrude A. (Sullivan) Landry of Lowell, who died on April 13, 2005. They shared 46 years of marriage.
He had been employed in the production and warehouse operations for Nashua Corporation for 38 years.
Lenny is remembered as devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family. He also enjoyed gardening and bowling. In his younger days, he also enjoyed roller skating
Lenny was a veteran of the United States Army.
He was educated in Nashua.
He was a communicant of St. Patrick Church in Nashua.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Landry was predeceased by his sisters, Mabel “Mickey” Couronis and Shirley Baker. Survivors include his daughter, Cheryl Hanscom of Nashua; his three sons and daughters-in-law, Leonard A. and Christina Landry of Mickleton, NJ, James and Lisa Landry of Hudson and Thomas and Kimberly Landry of Brookline, NH; 9 grandchildren, Stephanie and Addison Hanscom of Nashua, Cheryl and Mitchell Landry of Mickleton, NJ, Crystal, Tiffany and Corey Landry of Hudson and Bryan and Brandon Landry of Nashua; his two brothers and a sister-in-law, Richard “Porky” Landry of Nashua and Bruce and Louise Landry of Summerfield, FL; his four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Nancy Hunt of New Boston, Pauline and Roland Desclos of Newport News, VA, Gloria Berube of Nashua and Laura “Honey” and Dennis Jounis; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
