Name: Helen L. Bryar Dates: Birth date: January 30, 1922 Death date: January 27, 2010 Obituary: Helen L. (Jorgensen) Bryar, 87, of Nashua, died at the Courville at Nashua on January 27, 2010 following an illness. Mrs. Bryar was born January 30, 1922 in Hanover, NH, the daughter of the late Christian and Florence (Trachier) Jorgensen. She had been a longtime resident of Nashua, but had lived in many states including Florida, Maine, Vermont, Alaska and Maryland due to her husband’s military career. Mrs. Bryar was married to Donald P. Bryar for 34 years until his death in 1977. She is remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed time with her family. At one time, she enjoyed playing golf and traveling with her late husband. She was a graduate of Hanover High School, where she excelled in basketball and various other sports. Mrs. Bryar was predeceased by a daughter, Sandra Waugaman in 2003 and also by five brothers and sisters in the White River Junction, VT area. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and David Watts of Sarasota, FL; her son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Lucie Bryar of Nashua; five grandchildren, Scott Waugaman and his wife Kate of Palmer, AK, Heather (Waugaman) Quickle and her husband Curtis of Clarksburg, WV, Joseph DiVincenzo of Beverly, MA, and Meredith Bryar of Dover, NH and Lauren Bryar of Portsmouth, NH; two great grandchildren, Mikayla and Taylor Waugaman; two brothers, Ronald Jorgensen of Utah and Richard Jorgensen of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation: Her family will receive friends and guests beginning at One o’clock until the time of the service. Service: A Funeral Service in her honor will be held at the DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, One Lock St., Nashua on Saturday afternoon at Two o’clock. Cemetery: Interment prayers and burial will be held in the West Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, NH at the convenience of the family. |
