James Edward Mahoney, 59, a resident of Nashua, NH for the last 22 years, died on November 10th in Boston, Massachusetts, after a 16 year battle with leukemia.
Born in Boston, MA on December 28, 1949 to the late Henry and Margaret Mahoney, he served in the Air Force Reserve. James was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Newton, MA, in 1968, and a graduate of Merrimack College in 1973. He was an employee of Georgia Pacific Corporation for 25 years and PC Connection for 5 years.
A proud father and grandfather, Mr. Mahoney loved spending time with his family. He particularly enjoyed playing golf and curling at the Nashua Country Club.
Mr. Mahoney was a loving husband and is survived by his wife, Jane Egan, of 37 years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his three sons, James Edward Jr. and his wife Susan of Southborough, MA, Michael John and his wife Meredith of Lafayette, CO, Kevin Joseph and his wife Erica, of Jersey City, NJ, and his daughter Katherine Jane Mahoney of Boston, MA. He is also survived by his five grandchildren: James Edward III, Noah, Lola, William, and Caitlin.
He was the brother of Joseph Mahoney, Joan Mahoney, Judy Muldoon, and Bernadette Conroy.
