Sharon Martin, 71 of Nashua died Monday February 6, 2012 at the Community Hospice House, in Merrimack, NH.
A 30+ year resident of Nashua, Sharon was Mother to 2 sons, Grammy to 4 grandchildren and good friend to most all who made her acquaintance.
An enthusiastic gardener, Sharon greatly enjoyed honing her green thumb in her yard and gardens. She also enjoyed her daily walks and frequent visits to the beaches of New England, Florida, Hawaii and Turks & Caicos.
Most recently Sharon discovered her true love - grand-parenting. Sharon commuted from Nashua to Boston for nearly 2 years to help provide care for her first grandchild, Alexandra. With 3 more grandchildren under 5 years old, Sharon’s home was loaded with second-hand toys and her freezer was dependably stocked with Popsicles and other semi-forbidden treats.
Always the life of the party, Sharon will forevermore be most fondly remembered (and sorely missed) when her friends and family convene.
Sharon was born October 16, 1940 in Joliet, IL daughter of the late Edgar and Thelma Knott. She is predeceased by her parents and her brothers, Robert Knott and Larry Knott of Illinois.
She is survived by her son Andrew Martin of Boston and his wife Ana Domingues, her son Daniel Martin of Nashua and his wife Joy (Krueger), 4 grandchildren: Alexandra and Amalie Martin of Boston and Brady and Cameron Martin of Nashua, her brother David Knott of Joliet, IL and his wife Nancy, 2 sisters-in-law Joanne Knott and Joan Knott of Illinois, and many nieces and nephews.
